For Schools/School Districts-
For Libraries/Library Systems-
Next, if you are a school, school district, or consortia with school district or school members, you will be presented with a series of questions about student counts and their unmet needs.
NOTE: This section must be completed by school districts, independent schools, and consortia applicants with at least one school or school district. It does not apply to library systems and independent libraries applicants.
You will need to enter student counts for each of the following questions and provide a best estimate that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Please note that an entry is required for all questions and you must enter a value of zero or greater.
The first set of questions are based on student counts at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic:
At the start of the pandemic, how many students in your school or school district lacked access to:
- A connected device (laptop or tablet) that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- A broadband connection that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- Both a connected device (laptop or tablet) and a broadband connection that were sufficient to engage in remote learning?
The second set of questions relate to school year 2020-2021:
During the 2020-2021 school year, how many students in your school or school district did you provide:
- A connected device, because they otherwise would not have had a connected device that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- A broadband connection, because they otherwise would not have had a broadband connection that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- Both a connected device and a broadband connection, because they otherwise would not have had a connected device or broadband connection that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
The third set of questions relate to school year 2021-2022:
During the 2021-2022 school year, how many students in your school or school district did you provide:
- A connected device, because they otherwise would not have had a connected device that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- A broadband connection, because they otherwise would not have had a broadband connection that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- Both a connected device and a broadband connection, because they otherwise would not have had a connected device or broadband connection that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
The fourth set of questions apply to student counts as they relate to your funding request and ECF FCC Form 471:
With the funding you are requesting from the Emergency Connectivity Fund Program, how many students in your school or school district will you provide with:
- A connected device, because they would otherwise not have a connected device that is sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- A broadband connection, because they otherwise would not have had a broadband connection that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- Both a connected device and a broadband connection, because they otherwise would not have had a connected device or a broadband connection that was sufficient to engage in remote learning?
The fifth set of questions apply to how many students will still lack connected devices, connections, or both, after this funding request:
Even after receiving the funding that you are requesting from the Emergency Connectivity Fund Program, how many students in your school or school district will lack access to:
- A connected device that is sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- A broadband connection that is sufficient to engage in remote learning?
- Both a connected device and a broadband connection that is sufficient to engage in remote learning?
The last section on this page will ask you to enter information and the steps you took for completing and responding to these questions:
